VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir is our final summer concert!

The VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir sings six-part harmony and the members include men and women of all ages, ethnicities and religions. Delivering a high-energy, positive vibe, this dynamic choir mixes together the sounds of Soul, Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Hawaiian, Calypso, and Reggae. The animated delivery results in an audience that can’t resist joining in by toe tapping, foot stomping, jumping, singing, dancing and hand clapping! Come join us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Carnival Band is performing 8-9 p.m. for the Lantern Procession

Many of The Carnival Bands favourite tunes are originals by band members. The remainder of their monstrous repertoire includes samba, calypso, swing, afrobeat, jazz, funk, disco, and traditional music from around the globe.

The band believes that community music is grounded in collaboration, with the aim of empowering the individuals involved. Songs and performances are a means to creative expression and community cohesiveness, rather than an end in themselves.

If you have a desire to learn and perform, they can help make your dream come true. Some instruments are available for loan, and some of the band members teach music professionally. They do this because they love it, and because it makes the neighbourhood smile!
