All reservations are booked on a first-come-first-served basis.

Board Room
• Great for small meetings of 14 people or less.
• Includes white board.
• Excellent for meetings, brainstorm sessions and presentations.
Grandview + Lakewood Room
• Flexible space with moveable room dividing wall.
• Ideal for a variety of events and functions of 125 people or less.
• Beautiful park views, outdoor access, small kitchen facilities.
Kitchen
Grandview Room
Separated by a removable divider, the Grandview Room is perfect for birthday parties, family gatherings and other events with an attendance of 80 guests or less.
Lakewood Room
- The Lakewood is adjacent to the Grandview Room and has a 45 guest capacity.
- There is a wonderful view of John Henry Park from large windows that provide a lot of natural light.
- Great for meetings and smaller gatherings.
Gymnasium
- A full size gym that can accommodate 2 volleyball courts, 3 badminton courts, basketball and soccer.
- Ideal for sport practices or weekly games with friends.
- Sports bookings only (i.e., no trade shows, galas, etc…).
- The gymnasium can also be divided into one-third and two-thirds.
Maple Room
A small meeting space with a whiteboard included in the room. Perfect for meetings requiring space for 15 people or less. A lot of natural lighting in the room.

- All rentals are subject to staffing fees
- The number of staff required will be at the discretion of the Rental Coordinator and dependent on the activity, scope and size of rental

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is responsible for set up and take down?
All groups are responsible for their own set up, take down and basic clean up of the rented space. Set up and clean up of community centre tables, chairs and audio/visual equipment can be arranged for an additional cost of $50 + tax/event day.
Is there parking?
We offer a large, free parking lot.
How far in advance can I book?
We accept bookings that occur during our regular hours of operation up to three months in advance, and accept after hours bookings up to one year in advance.
What equipment can be provided?
Based on availability and the room reserved, we can provide at no additional cost:
- Furniture: 5 ft round tables, 6 ft x 2.5 ft tables, chairs
- Audio/visual: screen, portable sound system with wireless microphone
- Other: podium, flip charts, coffee/hot water urns, sports equipment for gym rentals.
When can I gain room access on the day of the event?
You can gain access at the start time on your permit. When booking, your reservation must include set up and clean up times.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Catering and food services are welcome; however, no cooking of food is permitted on site. The facility has a small kitchen that is shared by all users, but may be reserved for exclusive use. The kitchen is suitable for warming, preparing and staging food service.
Is there a non-profit rate?
Events that are booked by a provincially or federally registered non-profit are eligible for a 25% discount on the posted rental rates.
When do I get my damage deposit back?
Deposits will be refunded less any outstanding charges within thirty (30) days of the end of the rental.
Besides room rental charges, what other charges may I incur?
SOCAN fees (music royalty fees) are applied if pre-recorded music is played and if dancing is involved as a flat fee ranges from $20.56 to $59.17. Each rental also requires a staff to oversee the event. The staffing charge is $25/hour, including 15 minutes before and after the event to check in with the rental groups. A second staff is required if alcohol is being served at your event.
Is there anything I should be aware of for gym rentals?
All user groups playing sports will be required to obtain a sports insurance at least (1) week prior to the start of the event.
Can alcohol be served at our event?
Alcohol can be served at your event if a special occasion license is obtained from the Liquor Licensing Branch of BC. A copy of your approved license must be provided to the centre and be displayed at the event.
