Wednesday evenings are going to be a BLAST this summer with FREE concerts at Trout Lake all summer long!

Join us on Wednesday, July 8 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. to see Balkan Shmalkan perform at the outdoor performance area on the east side of the building.

Balkan Shmalkan is East Vancouver’s sweet dance party orchestra; global music with local attitude. Their funky brass dance beats are rooted in the living aural traditions of the Roma and Klezmorim of Eastern Europe and blended with a mixture of pop, funk, and jazz. Members of the group sing in 6 languages including Serbian, Romani, and Italian.

Along with fantastic live music, there will also be an Arts and Crafts station, and kids activities led by Red Fox! Bring a picnic to enjoy the evening sun with good company and amazing, local, live music.

(Note: rained out concerts will be held in the Grandview Room.)
