Charis Chung — Music and ESL

Professional & Award-winning Performing Artist; Singer; UBC M. Ed., UBC B. Mus., VCC TESOL & VCC Provincial Instructor Diplomas (PID) Graduate. Member of Canadian Actors’ Equity (signed in by Vancouver Opera Association); Member of B.C. TEAL (Douglas College); Certified Music & ESL Educator; Author (“His Eye Is On The Sparrow”).

Charis has trained thousands of students from diverse cultural & language background in Piano, Singing, Music Theory, Music History, Sight Singing, for different examinations, auditions, competitions, music college and university entrance exams. Charis’ students have performed in different competitions, major concert halls and parliaments around the world. Her students’ ages are from 4 years old to over 90 years old.

Charis also has extensive teaching experience in teaching both Music and ESL courses, seminars, workshops, private tutoring, and camps at Douglas College, Vancouver School Board, Tom Lee Music Academies, Mozart School of Music on UBC Campus, and different Music and Language Schools to children, young learners, teenagers, adults and seniors.
