Dearest community friends:
Trout Lake had planned a thoughtful, engaging celebration to mark the 50th Earth Day and we are so sad that it is not possible this year. We were also excited to be formally launching our “Communities for Climate Hope” initiative — a plan that would bring you more clean and green programming and events that reflect our community’s love of the Earth and commitment to sustainable futures.
Our Board of Directors and staff teams want to do our part when it comes to community building and climate action. We founded and co-designed an initiative called “Communities for Climate Hope” that identifies ways in which we can engage, educate, and empower patrons on environmental conservation, sustainable lifestyles, and climate action.
This initiative will guide programming, events, policies, and partnerships at Trout Lake. Read more about this evolving project via women4climate.
Though we are physically distant at the moment, and many of us in a holding pattern, in this strange time there is opportunity. This week, let’s look for the signs of hope that have been emerging in our everyday lives and consider how we want our world to look over the next 50 years.
