With heightened awareness about waste diversion and sustainable fashion, Fish Leather is re-emerging as an alternative textile. Discover the fascinating craft of making fish leather and learn about the importance of salmon to the ecology and cultures of the coast.
In this hands-on workshop, participants learn the basic steps of making fish leather (de-scaling, tanning and softening), which is usually a multi-day process. Everyone will craft their fish leather to take home.
