This week, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced a second presumptive case of the novel cornonavirus (2019-nCoV) in British Columbia. Vancouver Coastal Health reports being in contact with the patient, who is isolated, and others in the household and assures that it is monitoring all close contacts.

VCH also reports that the risk of the virus spreading within British Columbia continues to be low and that all necessary precautions are being taken to prevent the spread of infection.
