Fish Leather Basics for Kids!

Discover the fascinating craft of making fish leather and learn about the importance of salmon to the ecology and cultures on the coast.
In this hands on workshop the young ones will learn about the lifecycle of salmon in a unique and fun way. The artist will lead the workshop and share knowledge through storytelling and puppetry. Each young learner will learn the basic steps of making fish leather (de-scaling, tanning and softening), which is usually a multi-day process, and craft their fish leather to take home.
For ages 7 – 12.
