July 5, 2022 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
$5Join us as we learn about the Indigenous foods and medicines growing in Trout Lake’s Medicine Wheel Garden. We will talk about what’s in season, traditional uses of the plants, and honorable harvest methods.
We are honoured to welcome Sally Lee of Tl’azt’en Nation. Sally is the Indigenous Early Years Family Support Worker for the Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society and has been working in non-profits for 20 years supporting First Nations families. Sally will be sharing Medicine Wheel teachings and will guide us through making a medicine smudge bundle using plants from the Medicine Wheel Garden.
Please bring a tea cup for in-season tea made from plants in the garden. In case of rain or heat, we will have a tent and chairs set up.
